Zoo Jeans Are Torn by Real Lions and Tigers

The rips in factory-made torn jeans are hardly as expressive as the ones that you can make on your own, but the tears that are worked into Zoo Jeans definitely have a story of their own.

To create the Zoo Jeans, denim was wrapped around toys like tires and balls and thrown into the lion and tiger pens at the zoo. As you might expect, the denim was broken in by being bitten and shredded to the point of where it no longer looked brand new. From there, pairs of jeans were created by a small factory in Okayama.

The Zoo Jeans with authentic lion and tiger tears will be available for one week only, starting on July 7th. The unique jeans will be put up on Yahoo! Auction, with proceeds going to WWF and the Kamine Zoo.
