Communal Tool Sharing

This Concept Proposes Vending Machine Rentals of Handy Implements

Not everyone can justify investing in a set of tools, which is why this concept for a tool sharing program is so clever. Together, Choi Seungho, Hong Uihwoan, Han Jisoo and Song Yoonji came up with the idea to make the standard handyman utensils available in vending machines for easy borrowing should a tricky task arise.

Called Tool Share, the free system would rely heavily on a smartphone app. With this, the user could browse available instruments, make a reservation and receive a special PIN. Next, he would visit his local Tool Share vending machine to punch in the code and receive the item. Hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers and others would be supplied in little toolboxes in the base of the machine. Each object would be equipped with chipsets for GPS tracking and NFC tag links to online tutorials for use.
