Digitized Stained Glass Windows

Shiseido’s Interactive Store Display Draws Consumers In

Just in time for the holiday season, Shiseido introduces an interactive store display that transforms with contact from those passing by it. The color-changing retail display reacts to individuals who stop to stand in front of it and is crafted to resemble a traditional set of stained glass windows.

Shiseido's 'Life Color Window' was developed in collaboration with interactive design studio PARTY and will be featured until December 25th in the cosmetic brand's Ginza, Tokyo location.

This interactive store display features a facade that is separated into three sections. The black partition is injected with bright color that comes in the form of its stained glass details. When passing by the display, those walking will cause it to transform its color scheme based on the outfit they are wearing.

If wearing a neutral, chances are the window will be less bold where as a bright hue may result in a technicolored display. This pop-up pavilion is brought to life using transparent LCD monitors that mimic the shape and colors one would see on the windows of an old church.
