Hamburg-based photographer Tobias Long has released a series called ‘Your Pet and You,’ which showcases pet owners and their furry companions.
The black and white images are a striking example of how much people seem to physically resemble their pets. From cute cats to adorable guinea pigs and large lizards, the portraits capture the relationship people have with their pets in a heartfelt and sentimental manner. The photographer says he aims to get the collection up to 200 portraits, after which he would like to release a book.
Long usually creates the images by taking shots of the pets and their owners individually and then editing them together afterwards, in a sort of split-screen effect. These portraits are sure to attract anyone with a love and admiration for animals.
