Artistic Alien Compassion

Sympathetic Other-Worldly Creatures by Russian Artist Dmitry Maximov

These tiny, lonely aliens depicted by Russian artist Dmitry Maximov bring out the sympathetic romanticist in me. The poor little guys in these illustrations are in dire need of an earthly friend.

Aliens: alone in a tub with a guitar, roaming the woods, abandoned in a public transit station, left close to drowning in the rain swept streets, trapped beneath a train track and even being harassed by giant urban pigeons. My heart goes out to them all.

Maximov’s creative world of little aliens compels me to wish these little guys peace, and hope they visit a friendly part of the planet when they do call upon us.
