The Gradient Wallpaper by Thomas Eurlings Makes Spaces Look Bigger

A graduate from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Netherlands, Thomas Eurlings releases a series of designs that use optical illusions to play with concepts such as space and dimension, and an example of his work is the gradient wallpaper.

With the purpose to make the top of the room appear higher, this decal fades vertically until the color completely disappears as it reaches the ceiling. This color-changing design creates a visual effect where small spaces seem to expand. Additionally, Eurlings decorated the wallpaper with busts and keys inside a diamond-shaped pattern, copying a traditional tufting. This style of decor also intensifies the optical illusion.

The gradient wallpaper by Thomas Eurlings gives rooms a playful look while expanding their interiors.
