Seasonal Beer Branding

Thirsty Dog Packaging Features Four Distinctive Canines Around the Calendar

Holidays like Christmas and Easter have proven to afford exceedingly convenient commercialization, but do seasonally branded products attract more buyers or is time-specific marketing surrounding spending what really boosts sales?

Whatever it is, Thirsty Dog packaging relies on the former. American graphic design student Ryan Keel was assigned the project of completely reinventing the identity of the beer brand, opting for an illustrated image inspired by the playful qualities of puppies. To encourage a bit of excitement around the bubbly alcoholic beverages, the creator allocated to the ale, the amber ale, the porter and the classic German drinks different annual occasions of Yuletide, Oktoberfest, Independence Day and Valentine's Day. The bottles and boxes that make up the adapted Thirsty Dog packaging sell a festive mood with the comforting charm of cartoon canines.
