Conceptual Painterly Hotels

The William Hotel Features Several Intense Color Schemes

In Situ Design worked on The William Hotel, a boutique lodging located in New York City, along with Lilian B Interiors.

The project called for a meeting of minds, between designers and artists who wish to blur the distinction between architecture, interior design and art. Each floor of the hotel was conceived with a particular color scheme in mind -- teal, orange, blue, green, pink -- and features a commissioned painting that embodies the same palette.
The color combinations vary from complementary to dissonant, in an attempt to evoke an authentic emotional response from each guest.

Inside The William Hotel, it's almost as though the paint has leaped off the canvas and transformed into the physical form of the space itself.
