This Series Recreates 'The Three Monkeys' Image Using People

Photographer Alexandre Sattle recreates a famed image -- 'The Three Monkeys' -- in his latest photo project. The portrait series allowed the artist to travel to various parts of the country in order to recreate the iconic image that silently says "hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil."

This artist was able to capture three individuals making the exact same poses in 12 different locations. This unique series reinterprets the original proverb of The Three Monkeys, which allows the audience to see how universal the message truly is.

The portrait series is reflective of Gandhi, who always carried a sculpture of the monkeys with him. There are a variety of interpretations that can be drawn from this series.
