The North Face Updates Details on its Heritage Silhouettes

Sally McCoy, who is the director of Equipment at The North Face, embarked on an expedition in 1987 to attempt to become the first American woman to reach the peak of Mount Everest. Through this experience, she created the iconic Nuptse jacket, which is a down-filled piece that has become a staple for the brand ever since, followed by the Denali Fleece Jacket.

Both of these made their launch during the 90s and joined the Expedition System line. Now, 30 years later, it gets a remastered look -- the Icons RSMT collection takes the famous outerwear and creates a full selection for the outdoors. Senior Design Manager Dabid Whetstone states, "We’ve integrated technology from our most pinnacle products, maintained iconic design DNA, and modernized fit."
