The Master’s Pupil is an Immersive Adventure Game in the Style of Monet

The Master’s Pupil is a hand-drawn puzzle adventure game that invites players into an immersive, artful world inspired by the works of Claude Monet. This indie video game title entertains and educates as it exposes players to settings and elements inspired by the artist's changing style.

This video game by developer Pat Naoum took seven years to complete, since every element was hand-painted with acrylic paints, then scanned with a high-resolution film negative scanner. Additionally, Naoum needed to learn to code in order to turn the images into interactive ones.

Within the game, players will challenge themselves with physics-based elements, color combining, drafts and more as they progress through stunning hand-painted level designs, all the while gaining an understanding of Monet’s artistic evolution.
