Flying Hipster Self-Portraits

The Japanese Harry Potter Series Flies Around the Urban Landscape

Graphic designer Halno takes to Instagram to share his magical and whimsical self-portrait series he entitles The Japanese Harry Potter. Seen flying by on his broom beside airplanes, over the waters and in the sky, the fun-loving designer created these wizardly inspired pictures with the help of his assistant Wacamera.

Since posting these pictures, he has quickly amassed a following of over 500,000, many of which have asked for tips as to how they too can recreate these pictures. Halno doesn't mind and even welcomes questions by offering tips. One piece of advice he suggests is "To create your own copycat version of the ‘flying broomstick’, it is important to bend the legs, and make sure you perfect your facial expression, no excitement needed!"

The Japanese Harry Potter is a clever and whimsical way to integrate innocence and fantasy into reality.
