The Empty Shop is a Traveling Secondhand Store That Benefits Non-Profits

The Empty Shop is a traveling pop-up shop concept that recently completed its ten-day run in Antwerp. Previously, the Empty Shop had successfully popped up in Sao Paulo, Manchester and Barcelona.

The Empty Shop is an intriguing concept based of conscious consumption, and the need for more consumers to adhere to it. Promoting a lack of waste and of recycling clothing we may no longer have a use for, the Empty Shop is filled with used clothing donations from locals when it arrives in a new city.

The Empty Shop in Antwerp was supported by the Antwerp Fashion Museum, with each customer receiving a free ticket to their current exhibition after purchase, while the profits from the pop-up go to local non-profit Kamiano.
