Swallow-Able Pill Notifications

The Ingestible Cyberpill Reminds You to Take Your Medication

The Cyberpill is an ingestible pill that is taken with your daily medication that notifies you by text when you have forgotten to take your medication on time while also alerting your physician. It is essentially a sugar pill with a microchip implanted in it. The Cyberpill was developed by Proteus BioMed and will make its debut in September 2012.

Ingestible event monitors are used along with an adhesive sensor patch that records the date and time you took the pill, as well as other helpful stats, such as your heart rate. In order to track these stats, a software download to your smartphone is necessary. It will give you access to your personal healthcare stats right at your fingertips while ensuring you're not forgetful with your health.
