'The Closed Window' Merges Military Looks with a Futuristic Approach

Ne.Sense's sub-label Necessity Sense launched its Fall/Winter 2018 collection entitled 'The Closed Window.' The entire collection is captured at an abandoned military camp located in Taiwan by photographer Fabien Montique. The Taiwanese label was created by three brothers and this capsule draws inspiration from the youngest's experience serving in the Taiwanese military. The youngest of the three described the military experience as "a self reflective period in closed quarters yet a window to enlightenment." In addition to drawing from a military experience, the collection is also crafted to celebrate Tom Chang, a vocalist and strong influence for youth in Taiwan.

The Closed Window blends innovative fabric materials and silver hardware accents to deliver a futuristic look. Some notable pieces include a range of military-inspired jackets that are accented with Chinese heritage styling. There are also highlights of neon green details on dark pieces alongside hand-drawn illustrations by Yan Jenh Fah, a Taiwanese artist.
