As though capturing the 'border' between being asleep and awake, the photo series revolves around colorful set designs created out of cardboard.
From a mountain range to a shark attack, The Border by Carolin Wanitzek brings to life many dreams (and nightmares) in a crafty and colorful way. While the cardboard scenes are shot in her home studio, her models were captured in a larger professional one. The images were then masterfully stitched together in Photoshop. Caught in bed, the models look like they are genuinely interacting with their cardboard surroundings.
