The Body Shop Launched an Equitable Hiring Strategy

The Body Shop has unveiled its new strategic hiring plan for 2022. In an effort to remove the numerous barriers and hurdles that prevent many talented individuals from being employed - drug screenings, background checks, and experience - the company will soon hire its staff on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Called Open Hiring, this new strategy will promote a fair and equitable recruiting opportunity. The Body Shop had previously run two similar pilot programs for seasonal employees, and after such success, the company is eager to implement this recruitment model permanently.

Open Hiring will recruit Customer Consultants and all other entry-level positions available at The Body Shop on a first-come and first-serve basis. Nicholas Debray, President of the Body Shop, explains, "we believe businesses are a force for good, and that means giving everyone the opportunity to work regardless of their background and previous experience.
