Thakoon Was All Fur Elegantly Puffy Hats For Fall 2009

For Fall/Winter 2009, Thakoon puffed on the New York fashion week scene with enormous fur hats. While we’re unable to confirm the stuff these accessories are made of, the chapeaus look very much like they’re made of real animal; then again, PETA didn’t show up, so maybe they’re faux.

Paired with an otherwise conservative yet chic line of fashion, the fur hats truly stood out among the sea of grays, blacks and the occasional jewel tone.

While hats of any kind seemed to disappear from the fashion radar (baseball hats on incognito celebs don’t count) for the last decade or so, chic headwear seems to be making a comeback, as does the big hair of eras gone by.
