The Terra Stool by Adital Ela is Eco-Friendly and Versatile

The Terra Stool is as eco-friendly as a piece of furniture could get. Made out of materials gathered from construction and agricultural waste as well as the natural environment, there is no energy put into its creation other than the designer's own physical efforts. But what really makes the Terra Stool stand out is that once people are sick of it, all they need to do is leave it outside, at which point it will begin to slowly break down and return to the earth.

Designed by artist and TED fellow Adital Ela, the Terra Stool can also be molded into another object completely when water is added to it. Ela plans to create Terra kits to teach others how to make similar objects.
