Parkour Tennis Photography

Joseph Ford Uses a Swimming Pool to Capture an Intensive Tennis Match

Joseph Ford takes to an empty indoor swimming pool in Glasgow, Scotland to capture his tennis photography series.

The project took the efforts of Ford and eight others who worked to create the unconventional sport setting. Blue tape defines the boundaries of the makeshift court -- one that is not confined entirely to the ground. The bright tape extends up the walls and second floor balcony of the building, a process that took careful measurements to create the right angles.

Two parkour athletes are the subjects of the tennis photography series, who jump up the walls and run along the sides of the pool with rackets in hand -- seeming to defy gravity completely. The images that result are stunning, with vibrant colors and comprehensible movements captured. Photo Credits: designboom, josephford.net
