Ted Noten's Red Light Design Rings Transform Red Light into Jewelry Districts

What better way to say, "I Love You," than buying Ted Noten Red Light Design rings in Amsterdam’s Red Light District? Or, as Noten himself calls them, "Be Nice to a Girl, Buy Her a Ring." I mean, can there really be a more special way?

In an attempt to revitalize the district, jewelry designers Ymere and Droog Design and the city of Amsterdam have joined together to present Red Light Design. By converting former prostitutes’ abodes, jewelry designers are challenged to find a connection with the exceptional neighborhood.

"Atelier Ted Noten has installed a snack machine with red rings 'Be nice to a girl-buy her a ring!' and is using the house as an artist-in-residence place," TedNoten.com says.

The Ted Noten red rings are just one of many designs in answer to this challenge.
