Video Game That Use Real World Map Data in Its End-Of-Day Scenario

Techpocalypse is an HTML5-based game about the survival amongst the evil rise of machines that decimates humankind. In this post-apocalyptic world, gamers fight the uprise of robotic monsters and team up with other fellow fighters to reclaim civilization. What’s compelling about this game is the use of real world map data. The better you know your neighborhood, the more advantage you have. Buildings, grocery stores and gas stations in reality are presented just as it is in the game.

Techpocalypse was created by a group of unanimous game veterans called Anomaly Labs. Joshua Olson, president of Anomaly Labs, reveals a sneak peak to Techpocalypse and also campaigns to gamers to donate money to finish off the game. Olson says 90 per cent of the game is finished and all that’s left is the other 90 per cent.

So far only $6,695 out of $50,000 is pledged with only 21 days remaining. Techpocalypse is set to release by the end of this year and it looks like an epic game to play. It’s up to you gamers to contribute in order to enter this Matrix world before it’s game over.
