TEA MASTER Celebrates its Surrounding Landscape in its Design

TEA MASTER is a new modern tea house in Hangzhou, China, that features an incredibly modern design meant to reflect the house's focus on natural tea as well as the surrounding landscape. Designed by kooo architects, the space features elements that mirror the rolling hills and terrace farms of Hangzhou.

The furniture at TEA MASTER is all custom made of Cinderella marble, corrugated and frosted glass panels, and wood. The various tables range in height as a representation of the uneven landscape, and each piece of furniture is spaced out. The space between furniture allows the tea house to offer a sense of breathing room and brevity from the highly populated city. A large round table is also featured in the space and was constructed using layered artificial marble that mirrors the topographical aspect of terrace farms.
