Geisha-Inspired Branding

TATCHA Finds Inspiration in Japan to Create its Fascinating Beauty Line

Rich in culture and millenarian beauty secrets, Japan is the main source of influence in the branding design of an amazing beauty line called TATCHA. The product packaging is beautiful in itself, as it pays homage, through its detailed production, to the legendary beauty traditions of Japan.

TATCHA's products consist of papers discovered by geisha to keep their faces clean and fresh. Made by gold leaf artisans, these beauty papers come in packaging that makes Japanese heritage a cohesive theme behind the brand. Packed in Japanese baseboard and printed with soy ink, this recyclable envelope is a true piece of art work. It features an illustration of a geisha decorated with sublime blue tones and a gorgeous logo in gold. Additionally, it has a hexagonal pattern that evokes a tortoise, which represents eternal life in the Asian culture.

Conceptualized by the creative director Stanley Hainsworth, the branding design by TATCHA is a celebration of traditions and beauty -- the whole line is simply stunning.
