Tap to Alexa Helps Deaf People Better Use Home Assistants

Amazon Echo Show users will soon have a new option that improves accessibility known as Tap to Alexa, which is a device aimed at helping the deaf community better communicate with Amazon's home assistant. This option will be featured on Amazon Echo Show and will allow users to touch the Show's screen and add customized shortcuts to some of the devices most useful information. These shortcuts can be rearranged and edited as users see fit and Tap to Alexa will even feature a keyboard option that lets users type a specific Alexa command.

Tap to Alexa is easily enabled through the Show's settings and users can also turn on transcripts for any and all incoming voice messages. Tap to Alexa is currently only available on the Echo Show, but Amazon hopes to roll out this feature for the Echo Spot as well.
