Two-Man Wooden Bikes

German Tandem Tree Wheeler

This one of a kind, hand made wood tandem bike is sure to turn heads. Two German engineers teamed up to found WWG in 2006. Stemming from a rural town in the Ore Mountains, Jens Eichler (AKA Lot) and Matthias Kranz (aka Ast) combined their educational backgrounds in wood and metal works for their bicycle projects.

"As a wood engineer I'm looking all the time for special projects, which are a change in the standards of the present. So I started out with first drawings to find a good look for the frame. At the same time I'm using a static programme to find the proper dimensions of thickness and stiffness," said Lot.

"My goal for the second frame is to develop a more safety and lighter frame for the bike market. At this time I'm working on the drawings for the second bike."
