This Structure is Now the Tallest LEGO Tower in the World

A group of high school students from Delaware have put together the tallest LEGO tower, which soars 112' above the ground. Officially, The Guinness Book of World Records has recognized this structure and deemed it worthy of the title. Previously the title for the largest freestanding LEGO tower measured 106' and was constructed in Prague.

The project by the students of John Dickinson High School required students and the community to work together. Donations poured in from the community and building the actual tower itself is a feat that could not be accomplished by any single student on their own.

The 500,000 building block-made tower was a great team-building exercise for these high school students. The tower has distinctive patterning, showing where each student made their mark on setting this new world record.
