TagTagCity is a Belgium-based web platform that aims to create a crowdsourced overview of practically any location one can visit for leisure, entertainment, arts and culture.
The platform is a comprehensive map-based search engine that can be accessed through smartphones and tablets. Once a location is tagged, a physical sticker containing an NFC or QR code gets installed so people can scan and learn more about the place upon visit.
Currently, the tool’s initial focus is Brussels and I am hoping that they grow enough and become a globally used entity and eventually change the way people travel and get around their local areas.
I especially like this idea due to the content it is set up to provide, which are reviews, promotional deals and discounts and historical backgrounds.
