'Foræva' is a High-Tech Swarovski Crystal Dress

Swarovski collaborated with fashion designer Lana Dumitru and architect Vlad Tenu on the creation of a dynamic Swarovski crystal dress that takes advantage of some of the most cutting-edge technologies available today.

Inspiration for the Foræva dress was taken from the traditional folk pattern on a Romanian rug, which was digitally reproduced with more than 25,000 crystals from Swarovski. The finished version of the Foræva dress came to life thanks to 3D simulations, algorithmic design and digital prototyping, as well as a team of 15 people working diligently over the course of months.

A short film created to accompany the dress describes that Foræva was created "for Æva – the symbolic character coming from the future to inspire and guide us through the rediscovery of our quintessential values, opening a constellation of new possibilities for shaping our future heritage."
