California-based Avenue Trucks' suspension trucks are designed to improve the skateboarding experience in a number of ways.

The Avenue Trucks offerings shun the usual coil-type shock absorption system. Instead, they use a leaf spring-like design wherein the main body of the truck is mounted on a fold-over metal baseplate that can flex by up to half an inch. The body can pivot relative to that plate, and has a floating pivot point that allows for smoother turns and better control.

The trucks, which are currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, are capable of soaking up vibrations, maintaining momentum and allowing the skateboard to travel faster while reducing wobble. Riders can also better 'pop' their boards for better performance on tricks.
