The Suspension by Louise Bourgeois Features Surreal Hanging Artworks

The Suspension by Louise Bourgeois, an artist born in Paris, France, and who lived in New York City, is an art exhibit showcasing a number of her stunning works. As the name of the show alludes to, all of her sculptures hang from the ceiling in a decidedly surreal way. Some take on abstract forms that can be likened to molton beehives while others take on more distinct human shapes including legs, torsos and more.

Currently showing at the Cheim & Read in New York, The Suspension by Louise Bourgeois is comprised of 25 pieces in total. Many of the pieces are being featured for the first time such as ‘Legs,’ ‘Arch of Hysteria’ and ‘The Couple.’ Longtime fans of her work will be thrilled to know they will be exposed to something new.
