The Duplex Penthouse is a loft design put together by Toledano + architects offers a luxurious open concept living quarters that features a suspended staircase design that is sleek, minimal and takes up little to no room in the space. The staircase is used as a functional as well as decorative piece in the space drawing focus to the centre of the room as well as creating a separation between children and adult spaces.
The staircase is made from black metal giving it a contemporary and modernist feel and features a series of suspended string rods that hold the staircase to the ceiling. The open layout of the space along with the large amount of windows brings a ton of light into the area creating graphics as shadows cast through the metallic rods.
