The Triton Supportive Chair Provides Three Points of Forward Support

The Triton Supportive Chair is aiming to introduce "the future of seating" by providing a new kind of forward-facing seating system that helps to protect the spine from compression. The design of the chair addresses the fact that most computer users are drawn forward to their screen and the placement of a backrest doesn't serve the spine in the best way. As such, people who sit for prolonged periods of time often experience lower back pain and other kinds of discomfort. The Triton Supportive Chair gets its name from its unique, three-point system of forward support.

Tested by researchers in the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University, the results os the Triton Supportive Chair are set to be presented at the 50th Annual Conference of the Association Canadian Ergonomists.
