The Henry Graves Supercomplication Just Sold For $24 Million

The Henry Graves Supercomplication watch -- the Guinness world record holder for the most complicated handmade pre-digital timepiece -- was auctioned off by Sotheby's Geneva for an unbelievable $24 million. The watch was made all the way back in 1932, and was purchased by an anonymous buyer.

The Supercomplication has a front face and a back face. Its gold case contains 920 parts, 430 screws, 110 wheels, 120 removable parts, 70 jewels and a tiny aperture that helps you peek inside to make sure the mechanism is working well.

The timepiece has a perpetual calendar that will work till 2100, sunrise and sunset time indicators, a night sky map set for New York and chimes.

This watch is super-complicated, super-expensive and ultra-indulgent.
