Sun-Activated Beer Cans

Coors Light's New 'Summer Certified' Beer Cans Change Color in the Sun

With many Canadians taking advantage of sunny summer days, Coors Light has created a new lineup of sun-activated beer cans that can soak up the rays with them.

As part of a new summer promotion, Coors Light has debuted "the world's first beer cans with sun activated ink technology." An exclusive to the Canadian market, the six 'Summer Certified' cans feature limited-edition designs made with photochromic ink. While the ink is invisible upon first glance, the different colors come to light when exposed to UV rays. At the same time, the beer inside the can remains icy cold, which is indicated by the 'Cold Certified' indicator embedded in the brand's mountain iconography.

Available until Labour Day, the new sun-activated beer cans give Canadians another reason to take advantage of sunny summer days.
