Summit Nesting Tables by Moving Mountains are Beautifully Simple

The Summit Nesting Tables boasts an appropriate design for a studio dubbed Moving Mountains. Modeled after different landscapes, the minimalist pieces can either be nested into tiered plateaus or stacked on top of each other like a big old mountain. In spite of their simple silhouettes and natural wood material, the Summit Nesting Tables are a great example of the Brooklyn-based firm's desire to "move beyond its boundaries to the convergence of design, art and fashion," as written on Design Milk.

Comprised of three pieces ranging from big to small, the Summit Nesting Tables are strong and sturdy enough to hold plants, pottery and even persons. Made out of solid ash, the pieces are utterly timeless. It is inspired by Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe's quote, "An interesting plainness is the most difficult and precious thing to achieve."
