Westwood Designs Stylish Flight Uniforms for Virgin Atlantic

The stylish flight uniforms designed by Vivienne Westwood for Virgin Atlantic will bring fashion as well as sustainability to the skies. The Vivienne Westwood Virgin Atlantic uniforms will outfit 7,500 airline employees, ranging from bright red jackets and pencil skirts for the female cabin crew to tailored suits for male flight crew members.

Across the uniforms is a recurring hand-drawn wing emblem and stylish cravats for both men and women. A few of Westwood's personal details work their way into the collection, including her shapely hourglass pump heel and diamond-handled handbags. Since sustainability is a huge concern of Westwood's, many of the garments will be produced from recycled materials like polyester yarn made from used plastic bottles. The new uniforms will begin testing at airports, Clubhouses and in-flight on July 12th.
