The StyleZeitgeist Heroine Editorial is Rough Yet Glamorous

The StyleZeitgeist Heroine editorial provides a rebellious yet glamorous look at model Carolina Thaler. Make-up expert Karin Westerlund applied dark and metallic shades to the eyes of Thaler, making her appear ready for a rock show despite the beach backdrop.

Heroine was shot by photographer Axl Jansen. Jansen matched Westerlund's selection of mostly monochrome cosmetics with black and white finishes, allowing few if any colors to come through the images. The outfits of stylists Guido Werth and Leonie von Lieres stood out nonetheless, seen in their choice of large billowing dresses, pant suits, short dresses and leather embellishments.

Aside from the addition of simple chunky accessories, little was needed to complement and showcase these ensembles.
