Ridiculous Stilt-Like Bicycles

The Stoopid Tall Bike by Rick Hill Gives Riders a Unique View

The Stoopid Tall bike is the result of a challenge between friends. Richie Trimble, a cinematographer living in Los Angeles, California, doesn't often have time to go on bike rides. But on one occasion he managed to make it out to The Safari Bike Ride with friend and fellow bike builder Rick Hill. That is when the Stoopid Tall bike was conceived.

Trimble challenged Hill to build the tallest bike in the city and he delivered. Two weeks later, the Stoopid Tall bike was finished. Reaching an incredible 14.5 feet high, it gives Trimble a 17-foot view of Los Angeles as he rides. Made using a Huffy beach cruiser frame, the Stoopid Tall bike also made use of an upside down shopping cart for tubing.
