This Starbucks Sushi Burrito is Prepared with Slow-Cooked Shredded Chicken

Alongside one's regular coffee or latte order, a Starbucks sushi burrito may now be ordered at select locations from the chain in Chicago and Seattle.

The unique sushi burrito features a sandwich-inspired twist, as the new dish is styled as a maki roll that's filled with "slow-cooked, shredded chicken, fire-roasted tomatillo salsa, lime crema, fresh cucumber, pickled cabbage, onions, avocado and crispy onion." The new offering is part of Starbucks' Mercato lunch menu, which offers items that are prepared daily with fresh ingredients. Other items on the menu include the Za’atar Chicken & Lemon Tahini Salad and the Roasted Turkey & Dill Havarti Sandwich.

While sushi burritos came into popularity at the peak of the foodie movement, this one from Starbucks appeals to consumers with a taste for something new and an eye for aesthetically pleasing eats.
