Prehistoric Fossil-Inspired Watches

STAPLE & Fossil Launch an Unusual Timepiece Collection

American fashion designer and watchmaker Fossil has teamed up with streetwear brand STAPLE to launch a limited-edition watch collection that draws inspiration from prehistoric fossils. As a result, the new STAPLE x Fossil timepiece boasts a unique stone-like construction, making it unlike anything else currently on the market.

The new watch comes in three versions, each inspired by a combination of terrazzo stones, excavated earth, the debris of city streets, and STAPLE's signature gray, black, and orange color combination. In terms of features, the new timepiece comes with a hidden dial design and opening locket. In addition, it features a hologram dial and swappable 22mm straps.

"The design features a special sundial and hidden Pigeon hologram — a nod to the Fossil archives with a STAPLE twist that will take flight on the second annual STAPLE DAY," said Jeff Staple, founder of STAPLE and Reed Art Department.
