'Sports Park Willem' is Park and Sports Complex That Connects Towns

'Sports Park Willem' is a new facility outside of the city of Scheidam, Holland, that turns a previously barren stretch of land into a pleasant space for the nearby residents. The facility features a green park and a multi-use sports complex that includes several different types of playing surfaces.

The Sports Park Willem project is a unique solution to a problem shared by two Dutch communities. Scheidam and Delft are separated by a stretch of the A4 motorway. In the past, this motorway served as a barrier between the two towns. With the new complex, residents not only get a space to play, but also have a pedestrian bridge that connects them to one another.

Facilities inside Sports Park Willem include a track, a football pitch, and a multi-use sports court.
