Tom Sachs Showcases the SPACE PROGRAM: RARE EARTHS Series

Tom Sachs introduces another installment of his ongoing Space Program Series with SPACE PROGRAM: RARE EARTHS. The artful installation explores the boundaries that border between interplanetary travel and the capabilities of mankind.

The American artist transforms the Deichtorhallen gallery in Hamburg and it is packed with immersive videos, aeronautics, and sculptures to translate the message. When visitors arrive at the installation, they are asked to leave their phones aside to really dive into the experience that requires them to "prove their worth." This is made up of a series of questions that tests if they are granted access to take part on Sach's team. When they pass, they are able to participate in the immersive experience fully.
