Space-Conserving Apartments

This Designer Created an Apartment That Makes the Most of Its Space

The more populated major cities get, the more inventive designers and architects have become in creating space-conserving apartments. The 'h2o architectes' team took on a Parisian project called the 'Arsenal Flat' where they converted a small residence into an apartment that is fit for a family of four.

Making good use of the residential space, this project boasts an interior that connects three living spaces with convenient partitions -- bookshelves that are aesthetically pleasing while doubling as functional storage solutions. The bookshelves themselves contain necessary items that would ordinarily take up space in an apartment. Instead of appearing cluttered, the shelves in this space-conserving apartment manage to open up the residence while acting as its visual focal point.
