It's a controlled musical interactive surface that enables the user to control the music by running the fingers through what looks like a rocky terrain. There's no knobs or switches, but instead a skateboard arena-like surface that slows or fastens the music depending on the touch.
Designer Kale Joines attempts to make users of Soundscape immersed in the music and "instead of being witness to the music, the user can now interact," according to the product site. The underlying circuit board lies beneath the 3D-printed rubber surface and is effected when varying degrees of the surface are triggered.
