Guitar-Powered Blenders

The Big Bang Fair Created a Fun Sound Energy Experiment to Engage Kids

To inspire a greater number of kids to get excited about STEM, The Big Bang Fair created an entertaining sound energy experiment called 'The Rock Music Milkshake Mixer.'

The experiment is powered by a guitar, a a milkshake mixer that harnesses sound energy, as well as an amplifier to blend the milkshake. Although sound waves are invisible, they do have an impact on the physical world and this experiment proves it to be so.

The Rock Music Milkshake Maker was officially introduced at London's Westminster Academy by The Blowfish, "the world’s only heavy metal marine biologist." The inventive sound energy experience can be found next year at The Big Bang Fair 2018, making it possible for visitors to try making a milkshake of their own.
