Dead devices at a concert may become a thing of the past thanks to the Sound Charge shirt. Developed by U.K. cellphone company Orange and renewable energy company GotWind, the Sound Charge shirt is designed to convert sound waves into energy.
The shirt has a pocket for your devices and a charger with an interchangeable cord catering to most types of cellphones. The charging pad and all of the electronic components can be removed prior to washing. The Sound Charge shirt is still just a prototype, and will be undergoing testing at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival. I really like the idea behind this shirt, but I need to see it made a little less geeky before I would wear it. Walking around with an iPhone stuck to your chest is nobody's idea of cool.
