Solar Helicopter Prototypes

The Solar-Copter Was Created by Master's Students in London

This solar-powered helicopter, which has been named the 'Solar-Copter' was created by a group of master's students at Queen Mary University of London. The helicopter, which is 100% solar-powered, can be controlled from the ground using a remote control.

We have seen many examples of solar-powered helicopters and planes in recent years but this prototype has to be one of the most fully realized designs yet. This is a useful invention for a future when we may rely on solar-powered housing and transportation systems more and more in an effort to make our resources more sustainable.

Much more than just a toy, this solar-powered helicopter could be a plausible means of transportation in the future.
