The Sphelar Torches Draw On Power from the Sun

The Sphelar Solar Flashlight is an innovative torch design that relies on the power of the sun's rays to garner energy. When the flashlight has gained a full solar charge it provides users with up to four full hours of powerful LED lighting.

A solar powered flashlight is a smart design concept that reduces the need for wasteful batteries. Instead this torch features a top compartment filled with tiny micro-spherical solar cells that absorb sunlight and transform it into energy. The torch even comes with a charging doc made from a block of wood that holds the flashlight upwards so it can charge in the sunshine. The flashlight was designed by Japanese brand Graf and is available for purchase through New York art gallery, MoMA.
