Smartphone-Based Deduction Games

The 'Andrana Project' is a Phygital Social Deduction Game

Andrana Project is a social deduction game for groups four to 12 players that offers a "phygital" gameplay experience that converges the physical and the virtual.

The game involves neither a board or cards, but has players use their smartphones for gameplay. The social game also does away with other traditional elements of group games, such as moderators, turns and downtime.

The game is set in the year 2067 and introduces players to two opposing forces: The World Federation and The Neoluddites. At the start of a game, each player is assigned a character at random. Players are challenged to connect with other members of their team, all the while keeping their own identity protected. Although the game is smartphone-based, players interact with one another face-to-face with dialogue and eye contact.
